These principles describe how the platform is being built. They are commitments to correctness, not feature announcements.
Currency on every amount
Amounts use Decimal arithmetic and always carry their currency. Nothing is silently rounded.
A timeout is unknown
A timed-out submission is unresolved, not failed. It is queried and resolved from provider evidence—never blindly retried or re-routed.
States stay separate
Payment, provider, ledger, settlement, reconciliation and compliance statuses remain distinct. Completed is not settled, and settled is not reconciled.
Deterministic reason codes
Every state change produces an audit event with a deterministic reason code.
Simulators stay simulators
Simulator environments are marked SIMULATOR and refuse production mode. They are never presented as live providers.
